A three-vehicle accident in Daleville Friday sent three people to the hospital and caused a semi-truck to overturn.
According to Daleville Police Chief Ron Williamson, the semi stuck a vehicle about 2:15 p.m., causing a third vehicle to be struck and the truck to flip onto its side. Several used tires spilled from the truck’s payload onto U.S. Highway 84.
Three people, including two in the truck, suffered minor to moderate injuries. Dothan Fire Department’s hazardous material team responded to the accident since the diesel tanks ruptured in the accident.
Williamson said traffic was affected until 11:30 p.m. due to cleanup.
