Southeast Alabama is under flood watch

The National Weather Service has placed Wiregrass counties under a flood watch until Friday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, Wiregrass counties including Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston, are under a flood watch until Friday evening.

The NWS is expecting widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms to spread over the watch area today and continue in to Friday afternoon with the best chance for heavy rainfall tonight into Friday morning.

Rainfall amounts of one to three inches are expected, with a few locations receiving up to four inches by Friday afternoon.
