Coffee County Arts Alliance hosts B.J. Thomas
B.J. Thomas, one of most successful pop music artists and a Grammy award winner, will appear in concert as the season opener for the Coffee County Arts Alliance.
B.J. Thomas, one of most successful pop music artists and a Grammy award winner, will appear in concert as the season opener for the Coffee County Arts Alliance.
Thomas will appear with Billy Joe Royal, another popular musical artist, at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Elba High School auditorium.
Some of the songs Thomas will perform are “The Eyes of a New York Woman,” “Hooked on a Feeling,” “Don’t Worry Baby” and “I Just Can’t Help Believing,” along with many more.
Thomas, who has won five Grammy awards and two Dove awards, has had 15 top 40 pop hits, two platinum and 11 gold records, and has become one of the most recognized voices in the music industry.
Royal, a successful country and pop artist, has had a range of hits from the ’60s through the ’90s, such as “I Knew You When,” “Down in the Boondocks” and “Cherry Hill Park.”
Other CCAA events for the upcoming season are “A Christmas Carol” starring Bill Oberst Jr., The Spencers, Theatre of Illusion, An Evening with 3 Redneck Tenors and The Piney Woods Arts Festival.
