New Brockton High School seniors received more than $392,000 in scholarships in the Class of 2009 Honors Day ceremonies at the school Thursday.

New Brockton High School Valedictorian Jessica Parrish, left, and Salutatorian Chelsea Dempsey received scholarships from Troy University. Parrish received a Millennium Scholarship and a Sound of the South Band Scholarship from Troy. Dempsey received a Chancellor’s Scholarship.
NBHS senior Chelsea Smith will be a new Montevallo University cheerleader after accepting a scholarship from the school. Smith was encouraged to apply for the scholarship by cheerleading sponsor Brooke Cavanaugh, a graduate of Montevallo. The senior also received a Clara Miller Memorial Scholarship and a Stanley Walker Scholarship from the New Brockton Alumni Association.
Valedictorian Jessica Parrish received numerous awards and a Millennium scholarship from Troy University valued at more than $30,000. Parrish also received a Sound of the South Band scholarship to Troy.
Salutatorian Chelsea Dempsey received a Chancellor’s scholarship from Troy University valued at more than $16,000.
David Davidson received a United States Navy scholarship valued at more than $80,000.
Anthony Nevels, Matthew Moore and Brooke Harrison all received Army National Guard scholarships valued at more than $66,844 each.
Vannessa Stuckey received a Troy University Excellence in Leadership scholarship valued at more than $8,800,and an Enterprise-Ozark Community College Foundation scholarship valued at more than $1,700.
Stuckey also received the $2,000 Olen D. Roberson scholarship from the New Brockton High School Alumni Association.
Brandon Lee received a $1,000 Neals Nichols Foundation scholarship ffrom Troy University.
Anna Beth Sawyer, 2009 class president, received a $2,000 Samford University Legacy Leadership scholarshipand a $700 scholarship from Coffee County Junior Miss as second alternate.
Chelsea Smith received a $12,000 Honor Graduate scholarship from the University of Montevallo and a $300 Alpha Delta Kappa Clara Miller Memorial scholarship.
Smith also received the Stanley Walker Scholarship from the New Brockton Alumni Association valued at $2.000.
Ashley Quattlebaum received a technical scholarship from Enterprise-Ozark Community College valued at $2,700.
Brandon Bell was awarded a Faulkner University Faulkner Leadership scholarship and Camper of the Week valued at $500, and a Church of Christ scholarship valued at $500.
Kayla Farnon and Justin Flowers each received $2,000 Mentor scholarships from Enterprise-Ozark Community College.
Alex Lee was awarded the Upward Bound Bridges scholarship valued at $3,500.
Danny Pair and Amy Hill also received an Upward Bound Bridges scholarship and an Enterprise-Ozark Community College Academic scholarship valued at $2,700.
Kim Kilpatrick was awarded a $2,700 Entertainers scholarship from Enterprise-Ozark Community College valued.
Maranda Foust was awarded an FFA and John Pynes Memorial scholarship of $1,000.
Hayden Smith received the Josh Pynes Family scholarship Fund Scholarship of $500.
Charlie Kilcrease was awarded three Foundation scholarships from Enterprise-Ozark Community College, valued at more than $5,200.
