Enterprise woman, man injured in accident

An Enterprise woman and man are among those injured in a three-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 84 West near Level Plains.

According to the Alabama State Troopers, Norma Foster, 82, of Enterprise, was among those hospitalized after the late afternoon accident. Foster was driving a 1998 Dodge and was apparently attempting to cross Highway 84 at the Coffee and Dale county line when her vehicle was struck by a 1982 Chevrolet truck driven by Jerry Hurt, 27, of Opp. Hurt’s passengers, William Glover, 30, of Geneva and Lee Reynolds, 34, of Enterprise, were also injured in the wreck.

A third vehicle involved in the incident was a 1999 Honda driven by Brittany Hartzell, 21, of Daleville, but she was not injured, according to the state troopers..

The accident is being investigated by the Alabama State Troopers Office in Dothan and remains under investigation.
