U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions and his wife Mary made a stop in Enterprise Thursday afternoon on their tour of “town hall” meetings around the state.

The senator commended city and school system officials for their recovery efforts after the March 2007 tornado, and he applauded them for pursuing such initiatives as recycling landfill-bound grease into biodiesel that can be used to fuel city vehicles and equipment.

Sessions also updated his local constituents on matters pertaining to statewide economics and growth, state education initiatives, Fort Rucker on-base housing programs and the war in Iraq among other topics.
