Weekend arrests include cocaine charge
Police arrest reports from July 16 - July 21. Information was obtained from the Coffee County Jail.
COFFEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT- George Joseph Wengert, 35, of Hillcrest Drive, Andalusia, was arrested July 21 on a charge of violation of probation.
ENTERPRISE POLICE DEPARTMENT - Bryant D. Pouncey, 35, of Crawford Street, Enterprise, was arrested on July 21 on a charge of possession of cocaine. Pouncey’s bond was set at $7,500.
ELBA POLICE DEPARTMENT - Christopher Russell Nelson, 22, of Lee Road, Valley, was charged with escape, second degree. Nelson was transported to the Coffee County Jail July 19 for bonding purposes only. His bond was set at $3,000.
COFFEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT - Michael Shane Gann, 28, of Opelika, was charged in Coffee County with failure to appear, and probation violation on July 16. Gann remains at Lee County Jail.
