A Levy County, Fla., jury found an Enterprise man not guilty of felony sex charges Friday.
Guy Bubba Nall was acquitted by a six-man jury after a three-day trial in Levy County Court in Bronson, Fla., according to family members and his attorneys.
Nall had faced charges of capital sexual battery on a victim under 12 years old and three counts of sexual battery on a child between the ages of 12 and 18. The charges were filed in connection with incidents that allegedly occurred between 2000 and 2006.
Nall was serving as an Enterprise High School assistant football coach when the Florida charges were filed.  He had served as an EHS assistant coach since 2005 and was placed on administrative leave with pay pending outcome of the Florida charges.
Nall also served for several years as a coach at schools in Florida before coming to Enterprise.
After the Florida charges were filed, a Coffee County grand jury indicted Nall in October, 2007 on seven counts of incest. The indictment followed an investigation by the Enterprise Police Department into allegations that Nall had sexually molested a female relative.
At that time, Enterprise Police Capt. Mike Lolley said the charges were filed by the same person who filed charges against Nall in Florida.
Joe Sawyer, Nall’s Enterprise attorney, said Friday he and Florida co-counsel Dean Galigani are thankful for the outcome of the Florida trial.
Nall remains free on bond on the local charges and is awaiting a trial date in Coffee County Circuit Court.
