Enterprise Wildcats win volleyball battle against Kinston Bulldogs

When the Enterprise High School Lady Wildcats and Kinston Lady Bulldogs get together for a volleyball match, there’s always plenty of top-notch action.
Such was the case in Kinston Tuesday as the host team took Enterprise to the limit before falling, 25-23, 24-26, 21-25, 26-24, 15-12.
The Lady Cats improved to 18-2, and will play in the Northview Tournament this weekend.
Tori Nadolny led EHS with 27 assists, and Kelsy McLean had 14 digs. Bailey Harrelson notched 12 digs and 10 kills; Brittany Perry had 10 digs, and Julia Stroud had seven.
Brigita Delacruz had 10 kills and four blocks; Tahmya Newsome had nine kills; and Ashley Smith and Mary Robinson added eight kills apiece to the winning effort.
The preliminary jayvee match also was a typical meeting between the Cats and Dogs, with Enterprise claiming a 25-23, 25-20 victory.
Caitlyn Lee had eight assists, Chelsey Scott had five kills and a like number of digs and Emily Davis added five kills.
