Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Lamont (Monty) Scruggs of Greenville proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Claire Scruggs to Dustin Wayne Medley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Wayne Medley of New Brockton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Scruggs of Excel and Mr. and Mrs. Robbins Williams of Monroeville.
She is a 2003 graduate of Fort Dale Academy and a 2007 graduate of Troy University, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education.
She is currently employed as a fifth and sixth grade teacher at Pike Liberal Arts School in Troy.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Medley and Mrs. Annette Williams of New Brockton and the late Mr. Ed Williams.
He is a 2003 graduate of New Brockton High School and is a recent graduate of Troy University with a degree in Social Science and a minor in Military Science. He will be commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army in July.
The wedding will take place Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Greenville, Ala.
